I had suggested it could be an IRQ conflict. I then tried reinstalling the drivers using the driver installation cd that came with the motherboard but that didn't work. check over here When I try to install the driver (downloaded through Windows Update) it says it cannot be installed because "the data is invalid".

Solution. Even a plug and play monitor comes up with the same 'Data is invalid' error via VGA.
