I can not give any more details about the error as the error advisor window does not give it. Advanced proxy settings such as this are usually only found in business environments. * If you have a local firewall on your PC, it's possible that it may be blocking VUA. What I cannot understand is, if you do not require both .net 2 & .net 3 installed then why didn`t Windows Update uninstall the older versions?

I had the same error when I was scanning my system as disconnected.I scanned it after connecting to Internet and it worked. Again, I believe this is not a problem with Vista Upgrade Advisor.
