Windows Search Indexer Stopped Working

I'm sick and tired of doing searches and it just saying "The folder is empty" even though the thing I am searching for is right in front of me. I found a few sites offering similar solutions but they didn't explain things so that us non-techies could figure it out. You may also want to try by ticking Indexing Service.
