- msiexec.exe exists in C:windows\system but is not on my Win 98 disc 2.
- Verify that the patch package exists and is accessible, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package".
- Downloaded and ran “Windows Installer Cleanup Utility”… no change d.
- Please let me know whether the above step helps.

for Windows XP - Error Code 1635Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.In the list of installed programs, click Microsoft Plus! Check This Out I get this same error message when I try to change or remove Office Pro 2003 from the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel. But I did not originally install Office from a network install. But since you are able to repair office from within Add/Remove programs using the CD, I don't know why that should happen otherwise.
