(Application log)... and "The Windows Installer service entered the stopped state" or "The Windows Installer service entered the running state." Did you have any additional language packs installed with the x64 install for it? After checking her Event logs I found that there was another dll file that caused an issue. I have tried the repair utility, I have uninstalled the shared tools, which was an issue that read in a posting somewhere. I've been using Outlook and all of my other Office programs for months now with no problems.
