In Windows 7 it looks like I can turn the feature (Windows Media Center or Windows Media Player) on or off but that doesn't actually remove the program itself. Thanks to the advice on this board I downloaded WinDVD and as soon as I did that everything started working again! I will never install any codecs or codec tweak tools unless I can be sure it won't mess up the WMC. Shark007 Codec Pack No error or anything.
